How to Root Samsung Galaxy Prevail?

I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10a and I had to download and install the PC companion before I could root my phone. If your phone has something like that, you should do the same. Anytime I plug my phone into the USB and mount it for access from my PC, it asks me if I want to install the companion.
